{TEAM BEAU}

Kirsty's obsession with horses began at the age of four, learning the ropes on a scruffy coloured shetland pony called Roseanne. Her early years in the Scottish highlands were spent mostly on horseback, or building jumps from virtually anything that was lying around.

Moving up the ranks of pony club, Kirsty found her passion lay in eventing and showjumping. At the age of 15 she tackled one star event competitions on a 14.1hh freckled grey pony called Suey.

Her horse of a lifetime came along when she was working in London and making a return to the equestrian life. Mr Beau Wells (Hennessy) was a rather spirited, just backed four year old, bred from a grade A warmblood showjump stallion and a Sadler's Wells line thoroughbred mare. Together they tackled England's biggest and best event courses, progressing to 2* level. Highlights included competing against Royals and Olympians, and having permission to gallop across the lawns at some of the Country's finest private country castles and estates!!

Kirsty now spends her spare time breaking in, producing and competing young thoroughbred horses from her base in Duffy's Forest, Sydney. She also retrains off the track racehorses. All of her projects are named using the 'Beau' format, in the hope that they might turn out to be half as good as Hennessy!
